City Manager announces Todd Grant as Public Works Director
On Tuesday, June 20, City Manager David Birchim announced Todd Grant, formerly the Utilities Director, as the Public Works Director, effective immediately, replacing Reuben Franklin who became Assistant City Manager.
Grant has been with the City of St. Augustine for over 14 years, 10 of which were spent as the Deputy Director of Public Works, and four as Utilities Director.
“I’m looking forward to returning to the Public Works Department to accomplish the goals and objectives set out by City Manager David Birchim,” said Todd Grant, formerly the City’s Utilities Director.
In addition to having a comprehensive understanding of the City’s operations and infrastructure, Grant returns to lead the department bringing his expertise and experience in areas of sustainability and resiliency.
The Public Works Department is comprised of Mobility (which includes parking enforcement and the Downtown Historic Parking Facility), Streets and Grounds, Solid Waste, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and Resiliency. Grant will also be responsible for implementing the Environmental Service Group which will move forward with implementing sustainability projects and policies for the City and its residents.
