I was born in a suburb of Chicago, IL, lived in Tulsa, OK, and was raised in Arlington, TX. In college I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin. I then worked in childcare, pet sitting, and with Southwest Airlines. I then returned to the University of North Texas where I obtained my Master’s Degree in Counselor Education. At this point I had a one-year-old and I took the next twelve years to raise her and her two younger brothers.
In 2010 I worked at a counseling practice in St. Louis, MO, and in 2011 I was a school counselor in St. Louis. In 2014, I left these and opened my own private practice in Union, MO. During he years of 2010-2014 I became a widow, single mother, new wife and stepmom, moved to a new town, and started my own business. Having been a dog person my entire life, I became a cat lady when I remarried.
I lived in Union, MO from 2012-2020 and moved to Nocatee/Ponte Vedra, FL in May 2020 when my youngest son graduated from high school and entered the army. My husband and I enjoy the outdoors, cooking, traveling, eating out, and watching movies. I enjoy walking, writing, and reading. I also lead women’s Bible studies and a support group for mothers who have lost children.
