About Us

The St. Johns County Cultural Council is the official Local Arts Agency for St. Johns County Florida, based in beautiful St. Augustine, America’s oldest city. The mission of the Cultural Council is to support local artists and arts organizations and to promote St. Johns County as a premiere destination for cultural travelers, ensuring that the lives of both residents and visitors are enriched through art, culture, history and heritage.

We administer the County's Arts, Culture and Heritage Grants program, oversee the County Art in Public Places program, and present a variety of cultural activities throughout the County, including concerts, literary events, art exhibitions, and workshops for artists and cultural organizations.

Our annual State of the Arts Grants fund arts education activities and individual artist projects and our ROWITA program recognizes outstanding women in the arts and provides scholarships for local students.

The St. Johns County Cultural Council is a 501-c3 nonprofit organization, established in July of 2000.
